The Seaforth juniors are the only team in the Ontario Hockey Association with this particular problem, which management mostly solves by pointing and saying "your From left: Todd then Chad Papple, both 20 from Goderich, then Terry and Tim Barton, both 18 from Stratford. Or is it Chad and Todd, Tim and Terry? Seaforth Juniors earn tie It was not to be. The Seaforth Centenaires had a breakaway on an empty net at the buzzer in overtime but had to settle for the `morale victory' in a 5-5 tic with the Exeter Hawks at the local arena Sunday night. Steve Geiger scored with 35 seconds left in regulation time to send the game into OT, after the Cents clawed back from a two -goal deficit three times in the game and tallied twice in the last four minutes, in their best performance in a month. Friday night they dropped a 6-2 decision to the resurgent Lucan Irish 6, and the weekend point leaves them sixth with a 7-10-1 record in the Western Division of the Ontario Hockey Association's Junior "D"evelopment League. The Centenaires host the North SDHS hosts all- star games Seaforth District High School will host the Huron -Perth girls basketball all-star games this Tuesday night. The junior game will tip off at 6 p.m. and the senior girls follow at 8 p.m., as the two counties square off against one another. SDHS will be well represented on both squads. Christa Bennett, Kim Jamieson and Kara Murray will play for the junior Hurons, and Lori Petrie, Sarah Johnston and Carly Price will play for the seniors. The SDHS senior girls ran out of depth and were edged 42-39 by Lord Dorchester in the semi-finals of the WOSSA "A" championships at Dorchester on the weekend. Coach Terry Johnston says his team led going into the fourth quarter but just ran out of steam, finishing the game with just five players: with three starters on the bench, one injured and the other two fouled out. The SDHS seniors opened with a 42-20 loss to the number 1 seed North Middlesex but then rebounded with a 35-31 win over London Christian. Saturday night they have a date in Port Stanley with the division - leading Lakers. The Centenaires said 'good riddance' to a terrible November with Sunday night's tie. Seaforth coach Maurice Guy felt referee Paul Petrie should have called a penalty shot after his player was hauled down on the breakway on the open net with almost no time left in the overtime, but the ref remained true to his calling and didn't change his mind, only dishing out a pair of minor penalties to Exeter and one to Seaforth at 20:00 exactly. Kalen Carroll, Terry Barton, Jason Hayter, Jason Dunseith and Geiger scored for Seaforth. Mark Livermore, Mark Bell, Mark Glavin, Jeff Glavin and Nate Bums replied for the Hawks, now in fourth place, six points ahead of the Centenaires in the standings. The Centenaires fired assistant coach Greg MacDonald after their third -straight loss to the last -place Irish Friday night. He was responsible for the defence that allowed 50 goals during Seaforth's 1-9 November spin. Seven of those nine losses were by three goals or more. Manager Gregor Campbell will handle the defence in the interim, until a replacement can be found. Josh Little and Steve Mclnally scored for Seaforth.
