The game could have easily gone either way and excited the crowds at the toumament on the weekend. Tweens exact revenge on team from Kitchener After an upsetting loss to KiWhener, Seaforth's Tween 'A' ringette team wanted another stab at iL So, they invited Kitchener to home ice. Kitchener quickly scored but this only meant Seaforth was even more pompe i up. Jenny Delvechio, Tricia Jansen'and Heather Dale went onto the ice hungry for a goal and tied the guile. 14 a4 rsha Denys must have had some steam to blow off because she fired one to give Seaforth the lead. Jessica Finlayson and Kim Devereaux had assists. Seaforth's lead did not last long because Kitchener scored seven seconds later to tie it up, again. Five minutes into the second period Nicole Munro used her wicked . wrist shot to score Seaforth's third goal. Then Kitchener tied it up, yes, again. Seaforth's winning goal was scored in the last minutes of play by Nicole Munro. Both of Nichole's goals were assisted by Jenny Delvechio. Strong defense and great checking on offense enabled Kitchener to tie it up, again. Centenaires rebound with one win The Seaforth Centenaires showed some signs of breaking out of their recent disarray, still it wasn't enough to give them more than two out of a possible six points this weekend. Sunday night the Exeter Hawks scored three times in a seven - minute span during the second period then partied to a 5-2 win at Seaforth. Saturday night at Parkhill the Cents exploded for four unanswered goals in the first 20 minutes before coasting to a 6-2 victory over the North Middlesex Stars, and Friday night the division - leading Port Stanley Lakers edged them 4-3 on .home ice in a well played and entertaining hockey game. Seaforth is now just one game above .500 with a 7-6 record and clinging to a tie for fourth place in the nine -team Western Division of the Ontario Hockey Association's Junior "D"evelopment League. The Cents have lost five of their last six games and three -straight on home ice. Friday night at 8:30 they once again host the pace -setting Lakers, before travelling to Ilderton Saturday at 8 p.m. for a neutral site game against the faltering Irish 6 from Lucan. The team also took a tumble, losing 4-3...it was better than the last time the two teams met, however, when Seaforth lost 12-5. The Cents just didn't have enough octane left, particularly in the third period, and never seriously challenged after the Hawks' second period splurge Sunday, as Steve Geiger and Jason Murray got the team's only goals in front of a healthy home crowd. "Save thatj stick!" Seaforth's veteran KaleCarroll said upon leaving the ice at Parkhill Saturday, after scoring his first hat trick ever as a defenceman and helping the Cents end their four -game slide. Steve McInally, Terry Barton, with his first goal as a junior, and Geiger also scored for the locals in a chippy contest, endlessly disrupted by lots of stick work and many stoppages. A bad -goal, that shouldn't have angled off goaltender Tim Swan's stick then flipped over his shoulder into the net, proved to be the winner and difference Friday.
