Stannah * REMEMBRANCE DAY—THE HURON EXPOSITOR, NOVEMBER 9, 1994—PAGE 19 George Stephenson Dinah Mary Sills * DINAH MARY (WOOD) SILLS Leading Wren Radar Operator in Women's Royal Naval Service. Served in Belfast, Roddans Port, Northern Ireland and in England at Somerton and Yeovilton Naval Base, England. Born in Yorkshire England and came to Canada April, 1945. Smith * William Smith * Morley Storey * ALVIN MORLEY STOREY Private Alvin Morley Storey enlisted in the Central Mechaniz- ation Depot of the R.C.O.C. in December, 1942. After training in London pnd Barriefield, he was sent toin July, 1944. After D - Day the Invasion of Normandy in June, 1944 and once the Allies were established in the port of Cherbourg and the Scheldt Estuary; Morley was posted to a main sup- ply depot on the border between Belguim and Holland. There he served as a storeman and transport driver delivering supplies. He served overseas for 20 months, until after the war - receiving his dis- charge in March, 1946. He was born in 1906 and died in 1986. LENORA SILLS Joined WAAC Regina, Sask. in 1940 as intelligence officer. Joined R.C.A.F. (W.) in 1941. Stationed in. Toronto, Brantford, Camp Borden as administration SGT. Met her future husband Thomas Sills at Camp Borden. Married in Seaforth July, 1943. Was fust Airwoman to pin wings on her husband when he graduated as flying instructor in Donnville, Ont.
