volunteered December 1940. She
did her basic trajping in Dalkeith,
Edinburgh from there to Weymouth
England for more training, then to
a gunsite in Nunsling near
Southampton on the English Chan-
nel, where our Battery and Regt.
was formed to Heavy Mixed Anti
Aircraft 505 Battery 180 Regt.
Royal Artillery in the British Army.
There job was to stop enemy planes
from coming inland. During one of
the heavy raids they lost one of
their A.T.S. killed in action. Then
the war finished.

Meade Baker served as a Private
in 1942-'43. He served in both
England and France.

Peter Bannon A104091 joined
army in spring of 1942 in London.
Sent to Chatham for basic training
then to Kingston for advanced
training in R.C.C. Signals. Overseas
winter of 1943; Aldershot area,
Cove, from there H.Q. of the 10th
Canadian Infantry Brigade of 4th
Division. He was sent on a course
for a mechanic to Brighton then to
H.Q. Army Troop and went to
Normandy, France, Belgium and
Holland. His unit was at Enchede
near German -Holland border wher
the War ended.
