hand for consultation. Janice

be talking about the Long -Term
Care Process. Biddy Cammack will
do exercises after the meal. Reserve

The Hensall Legion Ladies' Aux-
iliary held their meeting Nov. 1 in
the Legion Hall. President Iva Reid
was in the chair. The President
HELIPORT - Workers disrupted power to move hydro
lines at the new heliport late last
week. The hospital used auxiliary power while the work was being
done.

A donation was made for two
hours of ice time towards public
skating at die arena, and also to
Tinker Tots Kids Club Nursery
School.
President Elva Forrest opened the.
Thursday Afternoon Ladies' Group
meeting, Nov. 3 with a poem and
prayer. Olga Chipchase had the
devotion entitled 'Our Master's
Plan'. Hilda Payne was the pianist
for the hymn 'All the Way Our
Saviour Leads Me'. Seventeen
visits were made. Sadie Craig gave
the treasurer's report. Hilda Payne
thanked the group for cards and a
Thanksgiving box.
Evelyn Flynn read a poem.
Evelyn McBeath gave a study about
a small United church in New-
foundland, MacDermott Memorial
United Church. Thank -you notes
were read and Evelyn Flynn read a
poem. The meeting closed with the
singing of `Abide With Me' and the
Benediction. Jeanette Turner and
Eileen Rannie served refreshments.
At Hensall United Church, this
past Sunday, Rev. Henry Annen
conducted a Remembrance Day
Service. Branch 468 Legion and
auxiliary members, Scout, Cub and
Guide groups were in attendance.
The regular meeting of Hensall
Village Council will be held Mon-
day, Nov. 14.
The Hensall Community Centre
will be hosting a Server Interven-
tion Program (S.I.P) on Saturday,
Nov. 26. For registration infor-
mation call Tom or Derek at 262-
3206.

James Catholic Women's League
(CWC) was opened by the League
Prayer followed by a reflection on
Beatitude #4 'Blessed are those
who hunger and thirst for righteous-
ness for they win be filled
The Harvest Euchre Party results

Ladies' High - Clara Freeman;
Men's High - Lou O'Reilly; Ladies'
Low - Doris Ryan; Men's Low -
Harvey Dolmage.
Final arrangements are underway
for the Christmas Tea and Bazaar to
be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2
p.m. at SL James School Gym.
C.W.L. members are asked to make
donations to the various booths.
A report on the Huron -Perth
deanery meeting was given by
Marg Smale.
A Respect for Life Mass will be
held around Dec. 8. A Book of Life
is in the church. Names of deceased
family members may be wriuen in
the book.
The Dec. meeting will be a pot
luck supper. Donations to the mitten
tree and mission collection will be
accepted.
Meeting closed with prayer.

NOTICE OF PASSING
OF ZONING BY-LAW
BY THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Tuckersmith
passed By-law 28-1994 on the 1st day of November, 1994 under Section 34 of the
Planning Act.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal
Board in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Tuckersmith,
not late than the 29th day of November, 1994, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to
the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection.
AN EXPLANATION of the purpose and effect of the by-law is provided below. The
complete by-law is available for inspection at the Municipal office during regular office
hours.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The zoning amendment is a general update of the Tuckersmith Township Zoning By-law
including several housekeeping and other changes as follows:
1. - a provision for the extension of zoning in certain zones for minor lot enlargements
where the severed lands merge on title with the abutting lands;
2. - a provision to require setbacks from unopened or unassumed roads;
3. - a provision to allow existing deficiencies (e.g. setbacks) to continue as legal non-
complying alter a rezoning or severance; this provision does not apply to parking;
4. - a provision to recognize that all buildings established prior to this by-law are deemed to
comply with this by-law
5. - to allow for the closing in of porches that extend 1.5 metres into the front yard as long
as they are further than 1 metre from any lot line
6.- a provision to permit minor encroachments in yards where a building was believed to be
in compliance with the by-law but subsequently shown by survey not to comply:
7. - standardized provisions for accessory buildings including a maximum height of 5.5
metres for accessory buildings in residential zones;
8. - a provision to prohibit the keeping of livestock, poultry, reptiles. slinging insects or
exotic animals which are dangerous to human health or create a noise nuisance in all
urban zones
9. - a provision to allow building on more than one lot where two or more lots are required
to comply with the lot area or other requirements of the by-law;
10.- deletion of the requirement that home occupations and home industries be accessory to
agriculture in the AG1 and AG2 zones;
1 I.- a provision to recognize minimum lot areas for new agricultural lots -between 18 and
38 ha.
12. - a provision to permit attached garages in the VR I zone at a 1 metre setback; a 3 metre
setback must be maintained between the residential sides of abutting residences
13. - this provision all residential accessory building provisions to one section
14.- deletion of the reduced lot pmvisions for lots with public water in recognition of the
larger lot sizes required for septic systems, regardless of the source of water;
15. - recognition of tot depth for existing undeveloped lots in the VR I zone;
16. - a provision to permit existing residences in a Developmental zone to expand the
residential building
17. - addition of a special developmental zone to permit golf course related uses on a
property on Key Map 3B
18. - addition of the (-h)llolding zone provisions

to 'Village Residential -Low Density (VRI)' from 'Developmental (D)'.
