Hullett sees race for Reeve
The race is on in Hullett Town-
ship for the position of reeve and
lor the three positions of council-
lor.
The following are profiles of the
candidates running for these
positions in the Nov. 14 municipal
election.
REEVE
Three people are running for
reeve for the township. They
include incumbent Thomas Cun-
ningham, Hugh Flynn and Frank
Szusz.
Thomas Cunningham
THOMAS CUNNINGHAM
Cunningham, of RR 1 Auburn,
is an area farmer. He and his
wife, lla, have five children and
three grandchildren.
He has had several years of
political experience in the area.
He served for two years on the
Hullett Township School Board,
two years as a councillor on
township council, two years as
deputy reeve and 14 years as
reeve.
Cunningham wrote that he is
running again because,"I believe
we are fortunate to live in a
country such as Canada and I
want to make my small
contribution to keep it the wonder-
ful country it is. I believe Hullett
at this time needs the leadership
which I feel I can give. I also
think I have been both fiscally
responsible and hopefully
politically responsible to the
residents of Hulicit Township."
HUGH FLYNN
Flynn is a farmer from RR 1
Londesboro. He and his wife
Donna, also a farmer, have five
children.
For 15 years, Flynn was a Lion

past president of the Western
Hugh Flynn
Ontario Athletic Association, of
which he was a member for 15
years. He also sat on the Board of
Directors for Clinton Public
Hospital for 18 years.
Flynn is also an ex councillor
and reeve for the township and
while with the Hullett Township
Council, they battled the ministry
and won for a fair price for all
ratepayers involved in the Hullett
Wildlife Sanctuary.
He wrote that he is running
because he wants "Fair and equal-
ity for all ratepayers no matter
what corner of the township.
Ratepayers shouldn't have to drive
all the way from the edge of
Clinton to Kinburn to vote. While
on the Clinton Hospital Board, I
made the motion to protest the
closure of our Clinton Public
Hospital and see the excellent
facility we now have and well
maintained,"
Frank Szusz
FRANK SZUSZ
Szusz is a farmer from RR1
Blyth. He is married to Phyllis, a
homemaker, and they have five
children and seven grandchildren.

for 10 years, six of those years as
chairman. He was the secretary
treasurer of his church for eight
years and vice-chairman of the
