Niiirion McClure Returning ONicer 14 Goderich-area crimes reported Between Oct. 22 and 29, Goderich, Wingham and Exeter OPP detachments were plagued by a series of break-ins at small businesses throughout Huron County. In several of the break-ins, numerous cartons of cigarettes were stolen, as well as cash, hock- ey and sports cards, lottery tickets and snack foods, such as choco- late bars, chips and so on. Several businesses also sus- tained severe damage as a result of the break-ins; those responsible used a hammer to smash win- dows. The investigation led to two suspects in the Auburn area. A follow-up investigation resulted in charges being laid against three 14 -year-old boys. Except for the cash, the property has been recov- ered, along with stolen property from other thefts throughout the area.
