Buds 'mp
into firsf
Those pesty skunks must have
liked the bowling at the Starlite
Lanes as they stuck around for
the Oct. 20 bowloff of the
Thursday Nighters.
The Wolverines took all seven
points from the Falling Pins.
Mike Thomson's 244,238,242-
724; Sue Alce's 283-621 and
Paul McLlwain's 217 helped the
Wolverines. Top bowlers for the
Falling Pins were Doug Procter
240 and Betty Coleman 218.
On alleys 3-4, the Boozin
Brewers pulled themselves up a
notch in the team standings by
taking two games and total pins
over Murray's Marauders. The
Brewers' best bowlers were
Doug Leonhardt 218,240,257-
715; Trevor Price 231 and Bob
Wright 257-630. The Marauders
got super games from Murray
Bennewies 282,236,278-796;
Erich Matzold 200 and new
bowler Todd Doig 201.
The Buds jumped into the lead
by giving the_Wannabees a great
big goose -egg and themselves
seven. The Buds got great sup-
port from John Coleman
232,234,232-698; Gary Bedard
257,262-718 and Dean Price
211. Tracy Klaver's 201 and
Steve Steep's 257-619 led the
way for the Wannabees.
Team Standings: The Buds -
21; Wolverines - 19; Wannabees
- 17; Murray's Marauders - 12;
Boozin Brewers - 9; Falling
Pins - 6.
Wood, Perkins
have high scores
Oct. 21 saw The best turn out
for Senior Bowling this fall with
thirty-five bowlers in all.
The team scores were well
below average so I really do not
have very much to report this
week.
Ann Wood had both high
single 176 and triple 497. Pat
O'Reilly and Betty Leonhardt
had one game, 'not too bad.'
Only two men bowled o*r
200, Charlie Perkins had high
single 204 and 562 triple. John
Aubin had an even 200.
Don Wood, Ron Bennett,
Gord Murray, Sandy Doig and
Eric Matzold had average
scores.
I know we all can do better so
hopefully next week I shall have
some really good scores to
report.
Ann Wood and Charlie
Perkins have the high scores to
date.

HURON COUNTY KABLE
In recent years, the advanced technology has allowed cable TV
subscriptions to be delivered to town and country residences any-
where via a wireless personal cable system. The. expense of run-
ning cable lines or installing new fibreoptic lines to each resident
in the country is not feasible. Installing a wireless cable unit into
each household allows the subscribers to have access to over
120' free channels, with the option of subscribing to speciality
channels on an individual basis (thus bypassing the middleman,
"the cable company").
This cable service can also be provided to the existing satellite
dish owner with a simple modification to their equipment.
Allen Stubbs...First in Entertainment has had over 10 years expe-
rience in providing cable TV subscription signals from their pri-
vate cable systems throughout Ontario. Therefore, the wireless
residential units are a natural addition to their product lines.
Allen Stubbs has been granted the exclusive right to rent, lease,
or sell wireless Country Kable systems throughout Huron County.
Additional information can be obtained by calling the Allen
Stubbs office in Thedford and talking to one of their five repre-
sentatives throughout the county. Monthly magazines, channel
charts and pricing, free viewing of a VHS promotional
tape, information packages, free information seminars and much
more can be obtained by calling today.
