Women's League (CWL) partici-
pated in the White Ribbons Against
Pornography) campaign. The
- women handed out white ribbons to
the people after Mass on the week-
end. The main thrust of this cam-
paign is to display white ribbons to

On July 15, 1994, Jack Murray
succeeded Donald C. MacDonald
as Chair of the Commission on
Election Finances.
The Commission administers
the Election Finances Act, which
provides for registration of
Ontario's political parties, riding
associations and candidates in
provincial elections. For provin-
cial elections, the Commission
supervises limits on campaign
expenses and political contribu-
tions.
Dr. Murray is a native of
McKillop township near
Seaforth, Ontario. He received
his early schooling at the old
Beechwood School, the Dublin
continuation School and
Assumption High School in
Windsor. Subsequently, he
obtained both Bachelor and
Master degrees at the Ontario
Agriculture College in Guelph
and a Ph.D. in Communication
from Michigan State University.
During his career Dr. Murray
served as Regional Soils Special-
ist for Elgin, Middlesex, Huron
and Perth counties, lectured in
the Department of Soil Science
in Guelph; and served as
Research Associate with the
Toronto Board of Education,
Academic Director of the Study
of Educational Facilities, and
Planning and Research Consul-
tant with the York Board of
Education. Recently, as Superin-
tendent of Capital Program and
Planning with the Metropolitan
Toronto School Board, Dr.
Murray was responsible for
planning and administering a
Targe capital program including
several major energy conserva-
tion projects.
At the municipal level, Dr.
Murray served the community of
East York for three terms on the
Committee of Adjustment and
one term on the Planning Board.
Dr. Murray was President of the
New Democratic Party of
Ontario from 1978 to 1980 and
served as full-time Party Secre-
tary from 1980 to 1982.
Dr. Murray is a long-time
subscriber to the Huron Bxposi=
tor. He reads it weekly for news
of family and friends and par-
ticularly enjoys the excerpts
from In Years Agone.

Delchiaro to Seaforth. Steve was born in St.
Marys, Ont. & grew up in Stratford, where
his mother still lives. They look forward to
introducing their young family to the same
area of Southwestern Ontario that they
enjoyed growing up in. Their three children,
Marc (9), Laura (6), & Tricia (4), will be
attending St. James School in Seaforth.
Steve has many years of experience in the
grocery industry. He began his career in
1972 in the Food City store in Stratford. He
worked in several Food City stores in
Southwestern Ontario, meeting his wife Barb
in one of the London stores. They married in
1980. He most recently held a management
position in the head office of Oshawa Foods,
the parent company of the Knechtel
Wholesale Division.
Steve & Barb look forward to providing the community
with quality service in all your grocery needs. We hope
that you will extend the same patronage and support to
them, that we have enjoyed for so many years.
