this time. Two teams were in
Kitchener last Saturday bowling in
the Octoberfest tournament. The
• weather was ideal but they stated
there are now greens like our own
Seaforth greens.
Members were saddened this
week to learn of the death of Bill
Brown. For many years Bill was an
ardent bowler and member of the
Seaforth Club. He and daughter
Carol were a team to be reckoned
with and won many prizes in past
years. Our sympathy goes out to
Carol, her mother and family at this
time.
This past week due to the
exceptionally nice weather local
bowlers were still on the greens
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Good bowling to all until next
year.
Some Seniors score high
Senior Bowling on October 7
produced some very good scores.
Ann Wood had high single 216 and
triple 550. Joyce Wallace also had
a 202 single.
Ron Bennett had high single 258
and triple 602 for the men. John
Van Loon, Eric Matzold and Norm
McLean were all over the 200.
On Oct. 14 there was a small
turnout. Ron Bennett had high
single 263 and John Van Loon had
high triple 623.
Betty Oldacre's scores, and this
was her fust time out this year,
were high, single 168 and triple
474.
It seems the girls haven't got into
the 'bowling mood' yet. Perhaps it
is the beautiful fall weather we are
having. There should be better
scores to report in the future.
