Friends join to build bridge
In 1991 Pat Maloney and his two
close friends John Moylan and
Thomas Wheatley, needing summer
employment, began working at
construction in the concrete -forming
field.
During the 1991 and 1992 they
carried out several small jobs and
were joined by another friend Mike
Etue in 1993. The boys arranged
with Jerry Murry, and old-time
retired bridge builder from Dublin,
to act as their advisor and under his
watchful eye built the bridge
pictured above this past summer.
The bridge is located at Lots 39 and
40 Concession 1 in East Wawanosh
Township just Northwest of Blyth.
The students gathered at the
Bridge with Jerry Murray on
Thanksgiving weekend to
reminiscence and admire their
work.
