Optimist Hall will
remain open
The Seaforth Optimist Club
would like to inform the public
that the Optimist Hall will be
opc-. all winter, and if you wish
to rent the facilities please call
the Recreation Office at 527-
0882.

The Seaforth Recreation
Department will be hosting a
Standard First Aid Course. This
course will certify you under the
St. John Ambulance for three
years. The course will be held
Oct. 17, 24, Nov. 7, and 14 from
7:30 to 10:30 p.m. each of those
four Mondays. Please call the
Recreation Office at 527-0882 to
pre -register.
Line Dancing will once again
be offered in Seaforth beginning
Thursday, Oct. 20, at the
Seaforth and District Community
Centres. Sherry McCall will be
instructor. Those people who
want to learn will dance from
7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the people
who already Line Dance, but
want to learn more will go from
8:00 - 9:00 p.m. To register or
for more information please call
527-1307.
The Seaforth Cooperative
Children's Centre is offering
'Coffee Hour' for parents and
children. every Monday at the
Centre from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The parents can enjoy a cup of
coffee and meet other parents,
while the children enjoy circle
fun, crafts, and playing with the
toys. There is no charge for this
program. For more information
call 527-0682.
The centre will also be hosting
a babysitting course Nov. 2, 9,
16 and 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. each
night. To register you must be at
least 11 years old. All partici-
pants will be registered/certified
through the Red Cross Society.

The Seaforth Community
Hospital presents a Harvest
Dance on Saturday, Oct. 29 from
9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the
Seaforth Legion. Prizes will be
handed Am_ for, the best oos-
tumes. Dance to the? -muses -Of
Sound Proof. Tickets are avail-
able at the hospital switchboard
or at the door.

4-H club
learns value

The second meeting of
McKillop /1 4-H club started
with a quick game of volleyball
until everyone showed ftp. The
meeting was held on Sept. 21 at
7 p.m. at Donna Bennett's. Club

on value prices and the better
value. Next they got up and
sang 'Fish and Chip and
Vinegar' which took lots of
energy.
They then went to work with
Jane Bennett's junior presenta-
tion on Mail Order Magic and
the do's and dont's about it.
They looked at an article from a
flyer and decided which was the
better deal.
They had some chocolate milk
and played an interesting game
of Monopoly.
The next meeting will be at
Donna Bennett's at 7 p.m. on
September 28.
