New league bowlers welcomed
Another fun year of fantastic
bowling has begun for the Thursday
Nighters beginning on September
29. Welcome to new bowlers Jason
Wheatly, Heather Alce, Bob and
Sheila Wright, Sandra Klaver, Jason
Cooper, Mary Wynja and Jamie
Wilbee. Welcome back, John and
Beuy Coleman and all of last year's
bowlers.

Wood carving
begins soon
The Seaforth Wood Carving
Club would like to announce it
will begin carving on Thursday,
Oct. 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at
Seaforth District High School.
The Seaforth Recreation
Department will be hosting a
Standard First Aid Course. This
course will certify you under the
St. John Ambulance for three
years. The course will be held
Oct. 17 and 24, Nov. 7 and 14,
from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. each of
those four Mondays. Please call
the Recreation Office at 527-
0882 to pre -register.
Line dancing will once again
be offered in Seaforth beginning
Thursday, Oct. 20, at the
Seaforth and District Community
Centres. Sherry McCall will be
instructor. Those people who
want to learn will dance from
7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the people
who aJ tame dance. but want,
to learn more, will go from 8:00
- 9:00 p.m. To register or more

The Seaforth Cooperative
Children's Centre is offering
'Coffee Hour' for parents and
children every Monday at the
centre from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The parents can enjoy a cup of
coffee and meet other parents,
while the children enjoy circle
--fun, crafts, and ptayingwithlhc
toys. There is no charge for this
program. For more information
call 527-0682.
The centre will also be hosting
a babysitting course Nov. 2, 9,
16 and 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. each
night. To register you must be at
least 11 years old. All partici-
pants will be registered/cenified
through the Red Cross Society.
The Seaforth Community
Hospital presents a Harvest
Dance on Saturday, Oct. 29 from
9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the
Seaforth Legion. Prizes will be
handed out for the best cos-
tumes.
The Seaforth Recreation
Department invites you to take
advantage of one or many of the
leisure activities planned this
fall. Programs you can enjoy are:
Furniture Refinishing, Dog
Obedience, Landscaping/Flower
Beds, Water Colour Painting,
Recreational Volleyball and
Recreational Basketball. For
more information on these pro-
grams look for our ad in today's
paper, or call the Recreation
