The residents have greatly enjoyed participating in the bowling game indoors. Thanks go to Jan for bringing in the bowling set. There is a good competition going between the residents. Seaforth Manor would like to thank Nathan, Tanya and Heather Ashmore for volunteering their extra time in the evenings. They attend SL Micheal's Catholic High School in Stratford. They would also like to welcome Jennifer Hargraves, the new co-op student from Seaforth District High School. On Sunday, Sept. 18, some resi- dents took advantage of the CHuMS mobility bus and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Seaforth Agricultural building. Everyone enjoyed their ride on the bus, which had plenty of room for walkers and canes. The residents have appreciated reading the forecast of the day in the lounge. It makes it easier decid- ing whether to wear a sweater outside or not. Happy Birthday to Mable Harvey, Oct. 11; Theresa Louzon, Oct. 19; George Stevenson, Oct. 20; and Mary Hollan, Oct. 23. Lawn bowling The September pot luck supper was held at the Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club House on Tuesday evening Sept. 27 with a good turnout of members. Due to the weather there was no lawn bowling after, however, six tables of euchre were in play during the evening. Hostess were Ruth Beutenmiller, Corey Klaver and Gladys Doig. The men's pairs tournament which had been scheduled for Wednesday had to be cancelled after the first game due to rain. This was the final tournament of the year and a good entry from out- of-town clubs were present. Although the tournament was cancelled the bowlers expressed appreciation to the women who served a hot dinner to the bowlers which everyone seemed to enjoy.
