The aero- bics classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., and Wednes- day evening from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. The step classes will be from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Your instructor will be Drusilla Leitch. Please call 527-0882 to pre - register. Drusilla will also be instructing Senior Line Dancing on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. This will be Florida -style line dancing. Once again, please pre -register by calling 527-0882. All programs must have a mini- mum number to begin, so call today to register. The Seaforth Happy Citizens club is holding its first fall meet- ing in the form of a potluck dinner at 12:00 noon at the Seaforth Legion on Thursday, September 1. Please bring your own dishes and cutlery and a potluck dish of your choice. All members are also asked to bring a non-perishable article such as canned soups, fruit, etc. for prizes at the fall rally in Octo- ber. Senior Shuffleboard continues every Wednesday aftemoon from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. All seniors are welcome to enjoy an afternoon offun and fellowship. The Terry Fox Run (walk, bike, roller blade) will be held on Sunday, September 18 beginning at the Seaforth and District Community Centres at 10:00 a.m. All participants are asked to register between 10:00 and 12:00 noon, at the Arena. Pledge forms arc available at the Town Hall, Recreation Department, the post office or any Seaforth bank. For information you can call the Recreation Office at 527-0882. There will be a seminar held at the Seaforth and District Com- munity Centres for all interested bow hunters. This seminar will feature Jack Richards and Bill Troubridge as west speakers. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. For information call Huron Sports Outfitters at 527-0303. The Seaforth Recreation Department will be hosting power skating again this autumn. Power Skating will be held from September 19 to 22, and Sep- tember 26 to 29. This is a great chance for the children to tune up their skating skills before hockey and ringette, and figure skating begin. AWARD WINNER - Larry Coyne won the Pete Flanagan Defens- ive Excellence cup recently at an awards ceremony. Trophy symbol of warmth Recently the KKN II team of the Seaforth Men's Industrial hockey team held its summer Barbecue party near Dublin hosted by Brian Melady Sr., coach and general manager of the club. Known as Punch, for his style and his look- alike Imlach hat, he donated the Pete Flanagan Defensive Excellence cup as an annual award. Shown in accompanying photo is Larry Coyne, East William St. after win- ning the award for '93-94. Pete Flanagan was a defenseman for the club. He passed away early in the season. Larry is seen in accompanying photo proudly hold- ing the symbol and memory of Pete's competitive sportsmanship Rookie camp The Seaforth Centcnaires opened Rookie Camp last week with three practices in preparation for their 21st Ontario Hockey Associatioo Junior Development League season. General manager Gregor Campbell says the player turnout at about 45 wasn't as large as last year, but it was more manageable number and the quality was better. The Cents play their first exhibi- tion game Friday at 8 p.m. when they host the Western C League's Brussels Bulls to their second annual Rookie Game at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Then the Seaforth juniors get the remainder of Labour Day weekend off, resuming practice on Wednes- --di mb be ore to Thamesf for their second exhibition game against the Trojans that Friday night at8p.m. • and all-round warmth. It was resolved that extra funds be spent locally on team sweaters, and fur- ther to scrap the KKN II name and be known as The Punch. All agreed smiling, that The Punch will be felt.
