HOCKEY SCHOOL SUPPORTS HOCKEY TEAM - Gregor

School. The money was raised at a Summer Showcase which
was a hockey game featuring Seaforth hockey veterans constitut-
ing an amazing array of hockey talent.

Rowland family reunites
Anne and Lou Rowland have
returned from and extended trip out
west, during which they visited with,
three of their children. Also 'th6y
visited with Anne's niece—in
Rosetown, Sask. and a short but
pleasant visit with John and Velma
O'Rourke (John is formerly of
Dublin). They saw Pat Rowland and
family in Edmonton, Alberta. Col-
leen Eickmeicr flew from Texas to
Edmonton, and accompanied them
to Abbotsford, B.C., home of
Luanne Konkin and family.
Congratulations to Keith and Rita
Kelly who celebrated their 40th
Wedding Anniversary! Keith and
Rita, all your friends wish you
many happy years ahead!
Sympathy of the community is
extended to Emma Friend on the
loss of her daughter (Melba Jean
Kovacs) who passed away on
August 16. Sympathy also to Daniel
Charles Kovacs, Julius Kovacs and
to all other relatives and friends.
Retired teachers from Perth and
three from Huron enjoyed a trip to
Drayton Festival Theatre where
they attended 'Nunsense' on Thurs-
day, August 25. What a tremendous
play it was! A special thank you
goes to the Highland Tours driver,
Graham Martin (whose parents
were Mennonites) for an informa-
tive and enjoyable tour around St.
Jacob's! Thank you also to Alice
Herbert, Joan Anderson, and Marg
Drummond for organizing this
delightful tour!

Obituaries
CLIFFORD EEDY
Clifford Ecdy of McKillop Town-
ship, passed away at his residence
on August 26, 1994, in his 64th
year. Beloved husband of the late
Ruby Stanley (1990). Dear father of
Robert and his wife Sandra of
McKillop Township, Russell and
his wife Noel of Kitchener, Sharon
and her husband James Watson of
Seaforth. Predeceased by one son
Wayne in 1960. Also survived by
seven grandchildren and .two
brothers, Charles of Denfield and
Don of Lucan, and one sister Viola
Kennedy of Ailsa Craig. The family
will receive their friends at the
Whitney-Ribcy Funeral Home, 87
Godcrich Street Wast, Seaforth,
Monday, August 29, 1994 where
funeral service was held Tuesday
August 30, 1994. Interment
Medway Cemetery,- London tow
ship. Expressions of sympathy may
he made to the Ontario Heart Foun-
dation or the Diabetes Association.
GERTRUDE WRIGHT
Mrs. Gertrude Wright (nee
Grainger), of Petrolia and formerly
of Seaforth, died at the Lambton
Mcadowvicw Villa, Petrolia on
Saturday, August 27, 1994 at the
age of 98.
Bom in Tuckersmith Township,
Mrs. Wright was the daughter of
James and Christina Grainger, both
now deceased. Mrs. Wright is sur-
vived by a son, Bruce Wright of
Calgary; a daughter, Lois Dinnin of
Petrolia; seven grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren. Mrs.
Wright was predeceased by her
husband, William A. Wright in
1955; a daughter, Jean Ford of Fort
Wayne, Indiana and two brothers
and two sisters.
The funeral service for Mrs.
Wright was held at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on
Tuesday, August 30, 1994 at 11:30
a.m., with Rev. James Sloan offici-
ating. Interment followed in
Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth.
The pallbearers were Robert and
Ionian Ro/9TtAfi -shit
Lloyd Eyre.
