versary
The 59th Harrison Reunion was
held June 11, 1994 at Huron Cen-
tennial School.
A rainy day found everyone
visiting inside the school and the
children enjoyed the games
arranged by Brian and Brenda
Steele.
The president, Bryan Hodgert,
welcomed everyone and one minute
of silence was observed in remem-
brance of those deceased, ill and
unable to attend. After the singing
of grace a delicious smorgasbord
dinner was enjoyed.
Prizes were awarded and the
business meeting commenced with
the reading of the minutes and the
financial report by secretary Linda
Hodgert.
A 60th Anniversary Committee
report was given by Lorne Hacket.
Family members were reminded to
prepare family album updates and

Residents share wedding photos
It's hard to believe that summer is
already here at Maplewood Manor.
June was wedding month at
Maplewood. Wedding pictures of
residents and staff were gathered
for a most interesting display. Each
picture was numbered and then
residents had to see how many they
could recognize. Olive Smith was
the winner - guessing 29 correctly.
On June 11, residents and staff
were honoured to attend the wed-
ding of Reverend Sloan. The resi-
dents would like to wish Jim and
Ann a very happy life together.
Members of the Northside United
church Junior and senior choir
thrilled residents of Maplewood
with their musical presentation of
'They All Sang Jesus.' The singing
was superb! Thanks go to the
United Church Women for the
delicious lunch.
Max Ducharme and the

heel -toe polka is always the favorite
dance. Residents of Maplewood
love to kick up their heels!!
When it comes to piano players,
Maplewood has three of the best
playing for them each month.
Thanks to Bill Gibson, Marion Rose
and Carol Carter. They keep
everyone's toes tapping and voices
in tune for all the favorite numbers.
June church services were con-

Father Henry and Rev.. cook. We
wish them all a happy and safe
summer vacation.
Several residents along with
Ontario funds could
create sewage plant
BY PATRICK RAFTIS
The provincial government
announced funding last
Thursday, which may lead to the
creating of a sewage plant to be
shared by Hensall, Exeter and
Stephen Township.
Several South Huron
communities will receive funding
for studies and projects aimed at
upgrading water and sewage
facilities.
Exeter, Hensall, Stephen
Township and Zurich were the
major beneficiaries of the
funding, which Huron MPP Paul
Klopp said wouldn't have been
possible three years ago because
the projects proposed didn't meet
the criteria at the time.
Exeter, Hensall and Stephen all
received jobsOntario grants of
varying sizes to complete studies
of their own needs in the arca of
sewage capacity. However, the
studies will also consider the
feasibility of working together
on sewage projects.
