Several residents along with Ontario funds could create sewage plant BY PATRICK RAFTIS The provincial government announced funding last Thursday, which may lead to the creating of a sewage plant to be shared by Hensall, Exeter and Stephen Township. Several South Huron communities will receive funding for studies and projects aimed at upgrading water and sewage facilities. Exeter, Hensall, Stephen Township and Zurich were the major beneficiaries of the funding, which Huron MPP Paul Klopp said wouldn't have been possible three years ago because the projects proposed didn't meet the criteria at the time. Exeter, Hensall and Stephen all received jobsOntario grants of varying sizes to complete studies of their own needs in the arca of sewage capacity. However, the studies will also consider the feasibility of working together on sewage projects.
