New managers join local
Canadian Tire store
An expanded garden centre and
new green house are recent changes
at Canadian Tire in Seaforth.
The store now offers a huge
selection of hanging baskets, bed-
ding plants, vegetables and shrubs
as well as a large selection of gar-
den tools, pots and other acces-
sories during the gardening season.
A new service that will be intro-
duced shortly will be a satellite
communications link to connect the
auto parts department with the
national network of Canadian Tire
Auto Parts depots carrying over
45,000 automotive parts and acces-
sories. This link -up will increase
our selection, availability and deliv-
ery of auto parts and accessories as
well as offering immediate credit
approvals at the cash registers. This
satellite link will also instantly
update and report on options points
earned by Canadian Tire card
holders and allow customers to
redeem points as desired.

Chinese restaurant
has take-out for
parties
Homemade Chinese and Canadian
dishes make Wong's Grill, at 13A
Main Street in Seaforth, an attract-
ive dining choice for residents of
Seaforth and area.
As well as their wide variety of
Chinese and Canadian dishes
Wong's Grill offers its popular
smorgasbord lunch on Fridays as
well as daily specials.
The restaurant is owned by Anna
and Yee who purchased the busi-
ness, which was originally owned
by John Jewitt, in January 1985 on
the recommendation of a friend.
They had been previously leasing
Lily's Restaurant in London.
Seaforth's only Chinese restaurant
makes sure all its food is fresh and
prepared as ordered, not in advance.
Chinese vegetables are a special
treat for those who are watching
their weight and their health.
"People on diets can come for the
vegetables," said Anna. "It's low in
fat."
Good service and good food are
the goals of this successful local
enterprise. The business specializes
in take-out for home parties.
Wong's Grill is open from 11
a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through
Saturday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sun-

and incorporating new technology
the new mangers of Canadian Tire
hope to offer excellent customer
service.
"Our goals are simple, we want
every customer to leave satisfied,"
they say.
Paul England began with Cana-
dian Tire more than 20 years ago as
a bike builder in Ottawa, working
his way through all departments. In
1985 he was a Canadian Tire store
manager in Victoria and in 1987
became the General Manager of a
large store in Nepean.
The new managers say customers
benefit by dealing with knowledge-
able, local staff.
"Most of them have been here for
many years and know the products'
very well," they say. "They make
shopping here easy and enjoyable."
As well as friendly staff members
they say there is even a dog,
`Ranger'!
Canadian Tire is located at 126
Main Street in Seaforth.
NEW SERVICES - During the spring season Canadian Tire will be selling many gardening items.
