BOB & BETTY'S
VARIETY & GIFTS
TOSHIBA
33 Main St. Seaforth 527-1680
BOB & BETTY'S VARIETY & GIFTS is to be credited for
informing the community about new home viewing electronic
innovations through advertising and word of mouth. Many new
television buyers are aware of the MTS stereo sound, remote
control, programmable channel scan control and reliant chassis.
However, every year manufacturers such as Toshiba are improving
their products with higher resolution picture tubes with a square
picture for better use of screen space. Some manufacturers also
incorporate on-screen menu display, and picture in a picture features
which allows you 10 watch a main program as well as a framed
insert of a secondary program.
Likewise VCR's now are more compact in size, have tape search
and multi speed slow motion features, and stereo output jacks so
you can experience that "Movie Theatre" stereo sound going
through your home stereo system. With the variety of models
available at BOB & BETTY S you can choose a VCR or television
with the features that you desire for the ultimate in controlled home
entertainment at various price levels.
Throughout the 26 years That BOB & BETTY'S VARIETY
AND GIFT STORE has been in business, its concept has changed
many times. It started as a convenience store, with milk, bakery
products and groceries. In 1969 Bob and Betty Beuttenmiller bought
the store that currently houses their business, and in 1972 enlarged it
to Three times its original size. That was done by expanding into the
doctor's offices previously located at the rear of the building.
In 1977 BOB AND BETTY'S took on the Radio Shack
Electronic line, and in the process started to phase out such
convenience store items as groceries and bakery products. In 1979
all groceries were gone, and only milk and ice cream remained.
As electronics grew bigger, the business took on the Toshiba line
to go along with Radio Shack. Toshiba is big in televisions and
VCRs. In 1989 as more space was needed, milk and ice cream were
eliminated from the product line, and the whole back end of the
store was converted into ekctmnics.
In April 1991, more changes were made 10 accommodate a larger
line of Hallmark products. They are also a IOW lotto centre.
We are pleased to recommend Bob & BETTY'S VARIETY &
GIFTS to all our readers for more pleasant shopping.

With summer arriving many people make the major decision to
either buy a new car or have the existing model upkcpt. After a
winter of snowhank hashing; pot - holed roads: fluctuating
temperatures; salt strewn highways and Icss visual attention, new

To optimize tire mileage on front -wheel drive vehicles, it may be

positions of any automobile or light truck may develop irregular
wear due to side slip that occurs during driving.
The increased number of grooves and tread -block angles on
many of the all -season tires allow for better drainage (hydroplaning
resistance).
