Weddings
CRONIN-MULHOLLAND
Joseph Gerard Cronin and Joyce
Carol . Mulholland were joined
together in marriage on Saturday,
May 7, 1994 at First Lutheran
Church in Logan. Pastor Les
Hohner performed the ceremony.
Joseph is the son of Annie and
Alphonse Cronin, of St. Columban
and Joyce is the daughter of
Gordon and Tillie Wolfe, of
Mitchell.
Maid of honour was Angela
Mulholland, of Brodhagen, daughter
of the bride. Bridesmaids were
Dorothy McFaden, of Mitchell,
niece of the bride and Ann
Henderson, of Seaforth, sister of the
groom. Flowergirls were Sarah
McFaden, of Mitchell, great niece
of the bride and Bridget Cronin, of
Seaforth, niece of the groom.
Best man was Jerome Cronin, of
Seaforth, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Garry Wolfe, of
Brodhagen, brother of the bride and
Gordon Cronin, of St. Columban,
brother of the groom.
Singers were Darlene Cronin and
Debbie Steinman, both of Seaforth.
Organist was Pearl Henderson, of
Seaforth.
The reception was held at the
Mitchell and District Community
Centre. The couple took a wedding
trip to the Poconos. The couple will
be residing at RR 5 Mitchell.

Local student
receives Dordt
College degree
Monica van Reenen of
Seaforth, Ontario, was one of the
223 students to receive degrees
from Dordt College in Sioux
Center, Iowa, on May 6. She is
the daughter of Bill and Lois van
Reenen and earned a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Art.
Commencement ceremonies
were held Friday in the college
chapel/auditorium. Dordt College
music professor Dr. Karen De
Mol presented the main address.
Bachelor's degrees were granted
to 197 students and associate's
degrees to 25 students.
Dordt College is a Christian
liberal arts college located in
northwest Iowa. It enrolls nearly
1,100 students in over 40 aca-
demic programs.

residents
Residents of Seaforth Manor
Nursing Home enjoyed a
wonderful performance by the
Sherri McCall step -dancers.
Thanks to Sherri for organizing
this great evening of
entertainment. The April
birthday party music was
provided by Marie Flynn, Elgin
Nott, Warren_ Whitmore and Art
Finlayson. The Seaforth Nursery
School delighted everyone with
their monthly program, with
their theme "A tnp to the Farm".
Seaforth Manor was pleased to
have Sandra Feltz from the
Huron County Health Unit
present a super inservice on
'General Heart Health' to
nursing home staff. Residents
also enjoyed a 'clothes shopping'
day with J.B.S. clothing.
Providing the worship service
was Rev. Cheryl Ann and the
folks from Egmondville United
Church.

Marg Vanstone and Jim Londry
exchanged wedding vows on Satur-
day, April 16, 1994 at Hensall
Presbyterian Church followed by a
reception at Seaforth Legion Hall.
Bestman was Richard Londry, of
jviaxwcll; nephew of the groom.
Ushers were: Bill Chambers, of
Durham, friend of the groom, nep-
hew of the bride; and Ben Stoll of
Kippen, grandson of the bride. The
bride was given away by her
youngest son, Shawn Vanstone of
Hensall. Maid of Honor was Linda
James of Wingham, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaid was Rose Anger
of Wingham, friend of the bride.
Flowergirls were Sarah Stoll of
Kippen and Kristi Butt of Seaforth,
granddaughters of the bride. After a
trip to Florida, the couple will
reside in Hensall.

Sign language
The Seaforth Recreation
Department will host a sign
language program beginning
June 6 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.,
each Monday evening for 10
weeks. This program will be
held at the arena and Lori Anne
McNichol will be the instructor.

The Seaforth Senior Games
will continue in May with the
following events:
May 12 - Snooker at G.
Murray's - 1:30 p.m.
May 17- Euchre at the Legion -
1:30 p.m.

May 18 - Softball Throw at the
Arena - 1:30 p.m.
May 18 - Crokinole at
Maplewood Manor - 2 p.m.

The Seaforth Lions Pool will
be accepting swimming lesson
registration on Saturday, June 4
and Saturday, June 11 from
10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. both days
at the Lions Park Pavilion. There
will be limits on all classes, so
be sure to register during these
two days.
The Seaforth Hospital Auxili-
ary Annual Penny Sale continues
until May 13 with all draws
being made on May 14. This
year's sale is being held at 34
Main Street, Seaforth which is
located beside Flower Magic.
Dance for Heart to help raise
money for the Heart and Stroke
Foundation, will be held on
Wednesday, May 25 from 7 to 9
p.m. at the Seaforth and District
Community Centres.
Come out and have lots of fun.
