Street lights costly Erecting about 20 more street lights in Harpurhey could be a costly proposition for Harpurhey residents, if they choose to petition Tuckersmith council. A petition of two thirds of resi- dents and at least 50 per cent of the tax assessment would be required to establish more lights, Tuckersmith Township Council was informed on May 3. The cost of the new lights would be (for a property with a $94,000 assessment) $158 for the first year and $17.58 per year afterwards.
