HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Huron Expositor, 1994-05-04, Page 5News and Views Lawn bowlers host April euchre The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club held their April Euchre at the Orange Hall on Tuesday evening April 26 at 8 p.m. Hostess for the evening were Isabelle Hunt, Dorothy McCluskie and Jean Pinder. Eight tables were in play and prize winners were: Ladies high - Mary Finlayson; Ladies lone hands - Jean Lunn; Ladies low - Eva McCartney; Men's high - Neil Bell; Men's lone hands - Ken Preszcator, Men's low - Ross Gordon. Mary Finlayson welcomed mem- bers who were home from the sunny south and informed members this would be the last euchre at the Orange Hall for the season. The next social will be a pot luck sup- per at the Lawn Bowling Club House on May 23 at 5:30 p.m. All members and associates are wel- come. There will be Lawn Bowlin in the afternoon from 2 p.m. on and euchre and bowling after supper weather permitting. Hostess' will be Grace Broadfoot, Jean Lunn and Rika Van Baker. Members please note - There will be a cleaning bee at the club house Monday, May 9 at 9:30 a.m. President Tom Phillips has called a spring meeting for all members to be held at the club house on Mon - da ev - Ma 16 at 7 p.m. DAVID SCOTT PHOTO AS SEEN ON T.V. - Lions members Brian Nuhn and Harold Turnbull hosted the Seaforth-Mitchell-Dublin Lions Club T.V. Auction on Cable 12 Saturday. Phone operators were kept busy as almost 300 items were auctioned off during the day. Proceeds from the auction go to support community betterment.
