help shape childrgn's centre
The Seaforth Cooperative
Children's Centre (SCCC) says it's
proud of its role as a provider of
community services for parents and
children, in spite of the ups and
downs encountered in the wake of
a transition from nursery school to
combined nursery school/daycare in
1991.
In the fall of 1993, in response to
public input its executive hired a
longtime board member, Shirley
Brooker, as part-time administrator.
In January 1994 the centre made
another move, hiring Mary
Verberne to the position of
teacher/supervisor.
She is assisted in her endeavors
by ECE teacher Linda Feeney.
Rounding out the list of staff mem-
bers are cook Sandy McLean and
housekeeper Cheryl Steffler.
