Mystery neighbour keeps
them guessing in Walton
Quite a few people have tried to
guess who the mystery neighbour is
and first of all I will tell you who it by Patty Banks
887-6860
Walton
isn't. It is not Graeme Craig. I will
give you your clues...As a child he
attended Duff's United, sang in the
choir and Doug Fraser was his
Sunday School Teacher. He also
went to Fanshawe College in Lon-
don in '68-'69. His grandfather and
father were custodians of the church
and also of the old Walton school.
This person spent a lot of time
helping. He enjoys sports and loves
the winter if there is lots of snow.
Neil and Marie McGavin enjoyed
a few days in New Orleans with
Ford New Holland dealers from
across Canada and the U.S.
On March 14-20, while Graeme
and Helen and Shannon Craig went
down to the States, son Michael
enjoyed himself camping at Shadow
Lake centre.
Deepest sympathies are extended
to Barb Durrell and family at the
loss of her father, Stanley
Preszcator of Forest this past week
and also to Marion Godkin and
family for the death of her cousin
Morris Hemingway, and to Gerald
Ryan and his family for the death
of his father, Lawrence, on Sunday,
March 27.
LeeAnn and Kelly McDonald
were greeters at Duff's United this
Palm Sunday. The service con-
tinued with Michelle Kuntz reading
the Call to Worship. John Uyl and
Tadd Smith read the Lenten Liturgy
and Tadd extinguished the last
purple candle.
Spring returns
Spring has returned to Seaforth
once again. The residents of the
Manor look forward to outdoor
walks, for some fresh air after
being inside all winter. Residents
have all been keeping their eyes
open to see the fust robin. Thanks
go to Rev. Sloan for the enjoyable
Bible Study on Monday afternoon.
Tuesday morning Dorothy Dillon
came and entertained by playing her
guitar, as residents sang along.
Thanks go to Dorothy for coming!
On Wednesday afternoon church
service was held with Rev. Cook of
the United Church, everyone
enjoyed his worship service. Bingo
was played on Thursday aftemoon,
with thanks to Hazel McGonigle
and Anne Downey for volunteering
their help to come and be with
residents. The winners for this week
are Lloyd Hoggarth, Ethel Easson,
Marie Dalrymple, Anna Sherrin,
Dennis Arney, and Marg Smale.
Thanks go to the Nursery School

The 'For Sale' sign on the Walton
Inn took quite a few people by
surprise. I talked to Karl
MacNaughton, the owner of the Inn
and he said a body need a change
every five years or so and needs to
get on with life and do new things.
Right now he is busy getting his
horse, Tigers Flash ready for the
race track. He figures late April the
horse should be hitting the tracks.
The MacNaughtons also held a
family reunion March 25 with 60
people gathering to celebrate at the
Inn.
The big event for the Walton
church and community is the Patch-
work of talent action April 4. Marie
and Neil McGavin and Graeme and
Helen Craig and Craig Hackwell
have been the organizers and have
put a great deal of work into this
project. There will be close to 100
items and talents for sale that even-
ing. Viewing of all the items will
be between 5 and 7 p.m. on that
Monday, with the auction beginning
at 7 p.m.
A wedding shower for Monique
Van Ostaaijen (soon to be Mrs.
Don Baan) was held at the home of
Dianne Baan on March 25.
Monique met many of her soon-to-
be neighbours. She and Don will be
married April 9.
