Bill said that the have hada lot of ups and dobVtl3 ! over the years but they are do' fine. He remembers with fondness their bus trip west. They had jus sold the farm and took a sort 'second honeymoon', to sec wha the western provinces looked like They loved the mounta0s. Co gratulations and your friends ' Walton wish you all the best your special day. I often wonder just how well w really know our neighbours. So thought I'd choose a person and SCC if anyone can identify him or her. you think you know who I'm talk ing about give me a call. Your first clue to the mystery neighbour is...He went to the original Walton school and was born in 1949. He also grew up on a farm in the Walton area. y 118 o t n- u1 on e I If Margaret and Harvey Craig, along with Graeme and Helen and Shannon Craig, took a trip down to Dagsboro. Delaware to see Sherrill and Robert Christian. It's almost that time of year again when the ball, and gloves are taken out of the closet and getting the arm in shape. Actually it's now time to start phoning the people of the Walton Rec. club if anyone is interested in playing ball this year. The neighbourly friendship coffee hour will be starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Walton Church. The video, 'How to talk so kids will listen' will be shown and discussed. Laurie Brubacher will teach the kids a craft. The kids are l Walton by Patty Banks 887-6860 asked to bring a favorite picture of themselves or whatever else they choose, and also some white glue. Murray and Olene Dennis greeted worshippers and Duff's United Church on March 20, the first day of Spring. After welcoming everyone Rev. Banks reminded people that next Sunday is Palm Sunday and the Sunday School will be doing the service. Palm branches that were purchased from Africa have arrived and will be handed out on Sunday. There will be a Maundy Thursday, communion service on March 31. People can still donate their talents for the 'Patchwork of Talent Auction' April 4. Patty Banks and Craig Gillis took part in the Lenten Liturgy with Craig extinguishing the 5th candle. Rev. Banks recalls his time as student minister in B.C. and he did one of his first weddings. All was going great until one of the young ushers fell down as in a faint. Earlier one of the attendants had told Randy that the child was epi- leptic. So right away Randy pulled out his wallet to stick between the kids teeth when one of the kid's siblings said it wasn't a seizure but he just fainted. I guess one must be prepared for anything when per- forming weddings.
