M Did You Know You Ilave Twu Ileating Systrns In Your Home?
And you only need one ..... So why are you paying for two?
es, it's true. The energy you burn to heat hot water in your house is nearly enough to heat
the house too! But when hot water isn't being used, the heat escapes through the tank
jacket and lines to the taps. Your water tank is forever being re -heated, waiting for you
to draw off hot water.
So heating engineers have devised a heat exchanger to recapture this wasted energy and heat
the house. It's so efficient that it will both heat the house and deliver all the water you can use.
And the cost is a fraction of what you've been paying..
The secret is an oil fired hot water tank. Oil is the most convenient and inexpensive heating
fuel available, nothing touches an oil fired hot water heater for quick recover.
On the coldest days you never run out of hot water. Instead of cold water returning to the tank,
it comes from the exchanger only 15 or 20 degrees cooler than it left.
These units are being installed in housesin Huron and Bruce by Chisholm Fuels of Lucknow,
the oldest and best known oil heating firm in this part of Ontario. And the reports from owners
are beyond all expectations.

Most are getting both hot water and home heat for about what hot water alone once cost them.
Annual home heating bills of several thousand dollars are down to a few hundred for a year's
supply of oil.
The savings in energy costs will repay the cost of installation of your -new oil fired hot water
tank and heat exchanger in as little as two .or three years, says Grant Chisholm. The heat
exchanger, he says, has rendered the conventional furnace obsolete.
Heat exchangers are built for domestic, commercial and industrial installations. They require
only a few square feet and fit easily into almost any location. The tank can be 100 feel from the
exchanger, even in another building. Central air, humidifiers, air filtering are easily added. Side
venting can replace a chimney. Electric forced air furnaces need only add the coil.
Learn more about a heat exchanger for your home or place of business. You'll be astounded at
the savings. Winter heating costs, will cease to be a major concern. Call Grant Chisholm at:

Why so many are changing to oil
Here's just one example: Don
McLeod, retired accountant
and proprietor of Donut Dock
in Kincardine, has a two-storey 2,600
square foot log home on the
lakeshore, just north of town. Mr.
McLeod heated the house with two
wood burning stoves. The cost of
operating his electric hot water tank
is estimated at $630 a year.
Chisholm Fuels replaced his 40 -
gallon electric tank with an oil fired
32 -gallon tank. Hot water was
delivered to the heat exchanger from
where it was ducted through the
house.
Result: During the period December
20 - January 20, coldest on record,
Mr. McLeod got all the hot water he
could use and heated his house too
for less than hot water alone once
cost him. His estimated hot water and
home
heating
-bill for
the entire
year, is
$575!
Finally, an efficient
and affordable way to
convert from electric to
oil heating ...
-- Hats for $711 a year
Bill Chisholm's two storey brick at Port Albert has
an oil fired hot water tank and air handler to heat
the house. The estimated cost per year for heat
and domestic water is $712.
