Hospital
Auxiliary hears
speakers
The Seaforth Hospital Auxiliary
meeting was held on Tuesday
March 8 in Conference Room 2 of
Seaforth Community Hospital.
Margaret M. Mennen was the
chair and opened the meeting with
the Auxiliary Prayer.
Marion Turnbull introduced the
guest speakers Carol Bowker
Physio -Therapist and Kay Mailloux
RN. Seaforth Community Hospital
gave a very interesting presentation
with video and hands-on
demonstration of T.E.N.S. (device
to relieve pain). The unit T.E.N.S.
is a drug free to managing pain.
The members of the Seaforth
Hospital Auxiliary are busy making
eggs for Easter. Orders maybe
given to Maxine Marks or Shirley
Dinsmore by March 25. Orders
maybe picked up March 29 and 30
at the hospital.
Roll call was answered by giving
a Easter Card for the patients.
Minutes and reports were read and
approved.
Spring Conference will be held at
Fergus on April 25, 1994. Mary
Margaret Maloney won the mystery
prize. The meeting closed with a
social time.

Town council pay reported
The February meeting attendance
report was distributed at the March
8 Seaforth Council meeting. The
report is released monthly by Coun-
cil.
Mayor Hazel Hildebrand attended
two committees, regular Council, a
fire area board meeting and board
of education meeting for a total of
$280. Four other events were
attended but not charged for.
Reeve William Bennett attended a
Transportation and Environment
meeting and regular Council for a
total of $120. One event was
attended but not charged for.
Deputy -Reeve Garry Osborn

a hospital board meetmg and a joint
Council meeting for a total of $210.

Corm. Marjorie Claus attended

meeting, regular Council, Arena
Board and special arena meeting for
a total of $210.

Finance & General Government
meeting, regular Council, Landfill
meeting and Huron County BoardJ
of Education meeting for a total of
$210.
WI April meeting in Clinton
Seaforth Women's Institute held
its March 8 meeting in the
Northside United Church. Helen
MacKenize President opened with
Institute poems Opening Ode and
Mary Stewart collect. Minutes of
the last meeting were given by
Olive Papple.
The April meeting will be held at
the Blue Fountain in Clinton for
dinner with a meeting after. Meet at
Olive Papple's at 11:45.

Watson reports there are still a few
seats left for the bus trip this
coming Saturday, March 19. If you
are interested sign up at the Legion
or contact Dave.
The Ladies' Auxiliary are holding
another Sunday dinner for the
public on Sunday, March 20.
Desserts and help would be
appreciated.
Tickets for the annual Duck Race
are now on sale at the Branch and
from some members. Proceeds are
for renovations and Legion work.
General meeting is Thursday at 8
p.m.

The Volunteer Auxiliary of
Queensway Nursing Home gathered
together on Monday to discuss the
upcoming activities and events.
To start bingos off for the month
of March, the Hensall Legion
Auxiliary were in Monday
afternoon with volunteers and bingo
prizes.
Reverend Vandermeer joined
residents Tuesday afternoon for the
weekly church service. Susan
Verhoog played the keyboard and
provided wonderful musical
accompaniment.

The meeting was tumed over to
Betty Hulley and Marjorie Rock.
Betty had a spring poem, Maple
Syrup Time. Marjorie Rock had a
St. Patrick's reading. Betty's motto
Detour, we all have to detour
around all lives and health at
certain time.
Betty Hulley introduced the guest
speaker, Donna Coak. She spoke on
NewFoundland and showed a film
on it. They lived there for six years.
She also had photos which she had
taken there. She displayed a rug
which they made in NewFoundland.
They are noted for a lot of Irish
music.
Marjorie Rock thanked her and
presented her with a gift.
Lunch was served by Viola
Lawson, Doris Hugill and Betty
MacLean.
Next Meeting is April 12 at the
Blue Fountain noon dinner, Clinton.
