Find of the day: the antique wooden Boy Scout Wagon was a
purchase made by Debbie Courtney of Ripley.
Bisset's Ice Cream was a well-known brand in Goderich and
beyond. Stores sold it all along the Lake Huron Coast and
inland from Forest to Tobermory. The famous yellow sign
shown in the photo was displayed at many little stores and
garages and at one time a generous scoop was 5 cents. The
two Bisset brothers operated the business, which was actually
in Sattford just north of Goderich. Their herd was Holsteins and
their ice cream and butter was top notch.
