In a regularly scheduled
Council meeting, Goderich
CAO Larry McCabe
informed the members of
Council and staff that there
was an update with the
site -plan agreement
between the Town of
Goderich and NRStor.
Based off concerns of
some of the neighbours in
the vicinity to the site of
NRStor's compressed air
facility, NRStor is offering
to submit an amended site -
plan agreement and will
pay the required fee.
Council approved the
original site -plan agreement
but NRStor is now looking at
the requests of neighbours
to accommodate the needs
and wishes of the local resi-
dents near the site of where
the compressed air facility
will be built.
"This is a conversation with
NRStor in regards to what they
have been working on, in rela-
tion to some of the concerns
of some of the neighbours.
The site -plan was approved,
but what.they are looking at
now, is that there have been
some requests from one of the
neighbours, about trees being
installed on the North end -
that is not required in the site -
plan, and it's not their prop-
erty - it is Compass Minerals
property, and maybe they
would be willing to do some-
thing," CAO McCabe
explained to Council.
Council decided upon a
Special Council meeting
that took place on Monday,
June 26 at Town Hall, to
receive an amended site -
plan agreement from
NRStor, in order to comply
to some requests from
some of the neighbours,
before construction begins.
The Town of Goderich
notified NRStor, to have an
amended site -plan availa-
ble for Council to consider,
by June 26, where a special
Council meeting was
called. The special meeting
was scheduled before the
first week of July, as NRStor
has planned to begin con-
struction in July.
