Emma was a school teacher and a music instructor. She taught at most of the local schools and shared her love of music with many students in the community. She have her children the gift of music as well by teaching them multiple instruments and how to read and write it. She also took many of her students to local and surrounding music festivals to compete in piano, organ and singing classes. Emma was a wonderfully kind and gentle woman who will be greatly missed. In her final moments, Emma was surrounded by her daughter Sarah Gilbert, her son in law Chris Gilbert and their two children Curtis and Kristen Gilbert. She was loved very much. She is also survived by her son Keith Fulker. The family received friends at the McCALLUM & PALLA FUNERAL HOME, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Thursday June 15, 2017 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 P.M. David is survived by his spouse and best friend, Gail Johnston. David and Gail had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year. David is also survived by his brother Eldon, brother-in-law Brian Keegan (Sue) and his four sons Jerry (Barb) of Clinton, Brian (Anne) of Bayfield, David (Debbie) of Bayfield and Brent (Nancy) of Goderich. David will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Corey, Keegan, Joshua, Rebecca, Quinn, Zachary, Alysia (Curt), Shawn (Jess), Richard and Rachel. David was. predeceased by his grandson Kyle. David will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. David would openly declare that his greatest accomplishments in life were his family. But, he proudly served his country and community throughout his life. David served in the Royal Canadian Navy, Metropolitan Toronto Police, Chinguacousy Police and Peel Regional Police. David and Gail moved the family to Bayfield in 1975. David continued to serve his community as a member of the Bayfield Lions, Bayfield and Area Fire Department, Councillor and Reeve of Bayfield, Councillor of Bluewater and as a representative and Warden of Huron County. A Celebration of Life Service wilt be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 390 Parsons Court, Goderich on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Remembrances will begin at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made (by cheque only) to the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans Association (ANAVETS) 6 Beechwood Avenue, Suite #2, Ottawa, ON Ki L 8B4. Messages of condolence for the Johnston family may be sent through www.falconerfuneralhomes.com YOUNG, Arthur Norman - Arthur Norman Young of Goderich, and formerly of West Wawanosh Township, passed away at Maitland Manor Nursing Home, Goderich on June 11, 2017 at the age of 87 He was the beloved husband of the late Isabel Foran (nee Phillips). Art was born in West Wawanosh Township on August 22, 1929 to the late Emma (Sauch) and John Young. Dear father of Patricia & Gordon Needham of London. He is survived by his brother Fred (Donna), sister in law Margaret all of Goderich, several nieces and nephews and special nephew Ross & Margie Young of Dungannon. Predeceased by stepsons Ronnie & Mike Foran, and siblings Viola Brodie, Agnes Henderson, Grace Gibson, Tom Young, and Amy Wiggins. Loving father of June Lang of Calgary, Alberta, Lisa & Dave Ellery of Fort Saskatchewan AB and Keith & April Lang of Goderich, Ont; seven grandchildren- Tara, Tom and Payten Lang, Adam & Brandon Ellery, Corey Beets, & April Benson and four great-grandchildren- Rylee & Sienna Benson, Ethan, Connor & Zoey Ellery as well as many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother Roy (Stella) Lang, Sisters Jean Willey & Nancy (Ted) Drane. Predeceased by brother Ellis Lang, and sister Margaret Slote. At Thomas's request, cremation has taken place. Survived by sister Mary, and brother Arthur. Father of 6 daughters, Penny, Cindy, Vicky (Dave), Tammy, Patti (Kent), Angela and 1 son Billy Jr. (Christina) 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Angela. At Bill's request there is no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
