most tragic and amazing

It was eight years ago the
last time I luronview in Clin-
ton and Huronlea in Brus-
sels re-evaluated their mis-
sion and vision statements,
so they recently rewrote
those important
foundations.
The process of doing so
involved many commu-
nity members connected
to the homes - staff, resi-
dents, families and
volunteers.
First, these various indi-
viduals got together and cre-
ated a few options for the
revised statements. Then at
another meeting, they cast
their votes.
The new statements they
came up with are as
follows:
Mission Statement
To provide quality, com-
passionate care in a home-
like environment.
Vision Statement
To foster a caring environ-
ment with the open possibil-
ities of life's continued
journey.
Our Values
Respect, teamwork,
accountability, integrity.
Their old statements
were:
Mission Statement
With pride and integrity,
we offer quality, individual-
ized life care in a community
rich with friendship, caring
and dignity.
Vision Statement
To respect tradition while
meeting the ever changing
personal expectations
within the Home's
community.

a different value of the home. They gave a short presentation on
what each word meant to them.
