Erinn Lawrie
The Lake Huron Centre for
Coastal Conservation is a non-
government charitable organiza-
tion established in 1998 with the
goals of protecting and restoring
Lake Huron's coastal environ-
ment, and supporting a healthy
coastal ecosystem.
The Lake Huron Centre for
Coastal Conservation's Board of
Directors are pleased to
announce that Erinn Lawrie has
been selected as the new Execu-
tive Director.
Erinn joined the Centre's Goder-
ich office in 2015 as Coastal Stew-
ardship Coordinator, implement-
ing stewardship and
restoration programs along the
Canadian shoreline of Lake Huron.
She is a graduate of the Ecosys-
tem Management Technology
advanced diploma program at
Fleming College, in Lindsay,
Ontario.
Erinn's background in shore-
line stewardship and coastal
ecosystem monitoring includes
her employment with Kawartha
Conservation and the Central
Lake Ontario Conservation
Authority.
"I am thrilled to have been
selected as the new Executive
Director and to have this opportu-
nityto lead the Lake Huron Centre
for Coastal Conservation to its full
potential. The shores of Lake
Huron have always been close to
my heart as I spent many sum-
mers in Saugeen Shores growing
up, and I have been fortunate to be
able to work to protect this price-
less resource stated Erinn.
"I am looking forward to work-
ing
orking with our shoreline residents,
government agencies, other non-
profits, and corporate partners to
promote the Centre and the
important work it does along the
Lake Huron coastline."
The Board of Directors look
forward to the continued growth
and success of the Lake Huron
Centre for Coastal Conservation
through Erinn's leadership.
