Digital Photography Club's annual exhibit The Digital Photography Club is preparing for its 13th annual exhibit at Elizabeth's Art Gallery on the Square in Goderich on Thursday, June 8from7to9pm. The Opening Reception is a free event, everyone is wel- come and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will remain on display until June 25, 2017. The club consists of about 30 members changing from year to year and always wel- coming new members with any level of experience. The club meets the second Thursday of each month from September until June at the Gallery to share our work and benefit from the con- structive criticisms given by our members. Critiquing each other's photos is a valuable tool in learning photography skills. These meetings are lead by Elizabeth who is a wealth of knowledge on the art of photography. On occasion, if possible, the club will have speakers sharing their expertise in dif- ferent fields of photography. The club also tries to get together a couple of times a year for a photo shoot on a specific topic such as birds, night shots, etc. Completing their year with this reception, the club uses the exhibit as a show- case of their best work and the many ways of printing photos whether it canvas, fabric or metallic. Those who attend may just go home with some new ideas for your self. Take a minute and drop in at the reception to talk to the members about the club or their photos (some photos are available for sale). If you love taking pictures and would like to meet oth- ers who share your interest, there will be information available about the DPI Club for prospective members who may wish to join the group in September.
