The Memorial Foundation created by Ken and Catherine Costello, is the legacy of their son l iunter who passed away in February of this year. The intent of the Founda- tion is to provide funds to the Ronald McDonald House, to provide funds for GODERkH Canada's prettiest town NOTICE OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING Monday, June 26, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. Town Hall Council Chambers The purpose of the special Council meeting is for Council and the public to receive information and to provide input regarding the future of West Coast Huron Energy Inc. (Goderich Hydro) including a possible merger of Goderich Hydro with ERTH Corporation. The meeting will provide a presentation outlining the options available and includes the details of the Offer to Merge that has been received from ERTH Corporation. If you are interested in attending you are encouraged to do so. Public information will be available commencing on June 19, 2017 and can be obtained by contacting either of the undersigned at Town Hall. Larry J. Admission to the event was by donation and included entertainment from Shelly Johnston and Friends, and The Dash Rock Junkies. Organized by the Legion with the help from roughly two -dozen volunteers, the event last Friday was heav- ily influenced by John Hoy and Norm Leddy and included donations for silent auction from mem- bers and companies in the community. "It is impressive to see how the whole community comes together and stands behind something that is so important," said Legion President Dennis Schmidt. The event offered items that were auctioned off in live and silent auctions, a burger barbecue as well as a Photos by Kathleen SmitWGoderich Signal Star The fundraiser saw a steady stream of members in the community come and support the Hunter Costello Memorial Foundation. The Costello family were pleased with the support from the community and Ken spoke out on how much they value that support. "We really appreciate the support the community has given us. The Legion had been very helpful towards us when Hunter was bat- tling cancer and even now after he is gone. We just appreciate their support and what the community has done for us." Last Friday evening, the Goderich Legion hosted a fundraiser to support the Hunter Costello Memorial Foundation.
