The offence exploded in the first inning, and, never really stalled the entire game as the potent Sea - hawk line up scored con- sistently with contribu- tions from everyone. Brianna Maclay pounded out a bases loaded triple in the first to bring home Emily Hartin, Bela Moore, and, Archambault. The top of the order led by Jaimy Langille, and, Grace Taylor did a fantastic job scoring five times in six total plate appearances. Other notable efforts in this opener were the per- formances of two "new" players to the game. Abby Archambault, who hadn't played in three sea- sons, did a nice job of put- ting the bat on the ball while scoring once. Hannah Kent, having never played ball before, drew two walks, and, did a great job of hitting the ball to the right side of the dia- mond in earning her first RBI of her career. Coach, Glen Dither, was impressed with the open- ing 20-10 victory but cau- tioned that there is still much learning to be done as the team moves forward in the season.
