The Annual Alexandra
Marine and General Hospi-
tal Recognition Awards
event was hosted at the
Beach Street Station last
Thursday evening.
The Board of Directors of
AMGH hosted the Staff and
Physician Recognition event.
The evening included a sig-
nature appreciation drink, a
Lavender Lemonade, a buf-
fet supplied by the Beach
Street Staff and music enter-
tainment fro Matt Hussey.
Those in attendance also
had the opportunity to take
part in door prizes donated
by the Staff Association,
UNIFOR and the Medical
Society.
The Board of Directors
and Senior Leadership Team
extended their gratitude for
the continued work and
dedication of all staff, and
recognized the Tong service
of 40 staff members.
AMGH also bid farewell to
Dr. Rehka Lal, who after 20
years of practice is retiring.
Those recognized for five
years were: Laurie Bylsrna,
Peggy Byrne -Cater, McKin-
leigh Dew, Jalisa Dykstra,
Heather Graham, Sarah
Grant, Tori Hamilton,
Michelle Jefferson, Tracey

AUDITION CALL
"THE SECRET GARDEN"
Held at The Livery on Saturday, May nth at 1pm & Sunday, May 28th at 7pm.
Children (male & female) aged 10 and up. Adults ( male & female) of all ages.
Prepared short monologue and song are not required but welcome. You are
asked to be prompt for the audition time. This production will be staged at
the end of November, 2017, with rehearsals starting the beginning of

E -Waste Recycling Drive

The 4th Goderich Scouts
will be hosting an E -Waste
recycling drive and bottle -
run on Saturday, June 10 at
Suncoast Mall.
This event is an effort to
continue to raise enough
money for the Goderich
Scouts to fund a trip to the
2017 Canada Scouts Jambo-
ree in Nova Scotia this
summer.
Items to be classified as
E -Waste are as follows:
Televisions, VCRs, DVD
players, stereos and
speakers, computers and
accessories, laptops,
monitors, printers, cam-
corders, tablets, tele-
phones and cellphones,
batteries, electric motors,
wires and network
equipment.
The money raised on
every pound of the
Margaret Ferguson and
Connir McMillan were rec-
ognized for their 40 years at
AMGH.
The evening ended with a
tribute to Phyllis Scott, an ER
nurse, was recognized for
her 45 years at AMGH, dem-
onstrating her commitment
to the AMGH organization.

recyclable electronics will
go towards sending the
local Scouts to the Jambo-
ree, while being environ-
mentally responsible.
If anyone would like to
donate old electronics to
help raise funds for the
Scouts are asked to bring
those items on June 10,
from loam until 3pm.

unable to bring the items
on that day, or for whom
needs assistance or a
pickup ahead of time, con-
