Mother Nature can be a
tricky girl when she wants
to be. Last week for the
opening of the Maitland
Senior Mens' Golf League
she teased the group know-
ing that they were keen to
get out on the course after
six months away from the
game.
She allowed us to believe
that it was going to be a
cool but playable day for
our 9:OOam start.
All 40 golfers were out on
the course at 9:15 she
brought on the rain, which
combined with the cold
temperatures enough to
chase all but the hardiest
from the course.
This week Mother
Nature had another trick
up her sleeve covering the
course with enough frost
to delay the start of the
day's golf by over an hour,
but once started it was a
good day.
