The families of Darcy Clancy would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness, love and support shown to us during our heartbreaking loss. We are grateful to all that have sent us encouraging words of comfort and have given many hugs. We would like to give a sincere thank you to all of his co-workers who were with him that 'morning, Huron County EMS, Goderich Hospital emergency staff and doctors who worked so hard in his time of need. The volume of people offering assis- tance from this community and across the country reflects how special Darcy was and how he had touched everyone's heart dur- ing his short time with us. The overwhelming support, honour guard, and respect shown from the Ironworkers of Local 736 and 721 as well as other local union members has been heartwarming to say the least. Thank you to our families, all of our friends, and neighbours for the food brought to our homes, beautiful cards, on- line condolences, mass cards, floral tributes and gifts. Thank you also for the kind emails, phone calls and visits. The magni- tude of generous donations to Chepstow Minor Sports, and the Darcy Clancy Bursary Fund made in his honour has been truly unbelievable. Thank you to Cameron's Funeral Home for their guidance , compas- sion and assistance with the visitation, funeral and celebration of life. Your kind- ness and professionalism will always be remembered. Special thank you to Brian Raper and the Cargill Hall staff, Harley's in Mildmay for catering, Father Luc Payette, Chepstow Church Choir ladies, pall bearers and flower bearers. A heartfelt thank you to our wedding party, Brock Fryday and Vanessa Andrew for continuing to be there for"us daily. Thank you also, to Curt Schmaltz, Kathryn Alton, Stephen and Patricia Peck, and Keith Spitzig for the readings and prayers at the mass. Thank you to Jean Clancy, Jeff Wilkin, Jason Niesen, and Russel Hurst for their kind words and memories shared at the cele- bration of life and to Bill Clancy and family for all of their help and thoughtfulness. To the staff and students of JDSS and KDSS as well as the Bluewater District School Board, thank you for your support during this most difficult time. The memories that we all have of Darcy will never be forgot- ten, as it is impossible not to remember the magnificent human being he was as a lov- ing husband, son, brother, uncle, son in law, brother in law and loyal friend. Darcy was dedicated to living life to the fullest, making others feel special, being a hard worker and outstanding team mate. He would have been overwhelmed and hum- bled to see the outpouring of support and recognition he received. Darcy was one of a kind, and his legacy will live on in the minds and in the actions of others that wished to be just a little more like him. We will contin- ue to hold Darcy in our hearts forever and to be thankful that we had the privilege of knowing such a remarkable young man. Sincerely, Roselyn and the Clancy and Hurst Families "How lucky we are to have had something that makes it so hard to say good-bye" Wednesday, May 17, 2017 • Signal Star 27 your moments.ca Marking your milestones.
