Second Annual 3 -on -3 Ball Hockey Tournament

The Alexandra Marine and Gen-
eral Hospital (AMGH) Foundation
and Talbot Realty hosted the Sec-
ond -Annual 3 -on -3 Ball Hockey
Tournament last Saturday.
Organized by the Foundation,
Talbot Realty and Trevor Bazi-
net, participants were encour-
aged to raise funds above the
minimum registration fee.
All proceeds from the event
went to the AMGH Foundation
for Priority Patient Equipment
for the Hospital.
The top fundraising team won
tickets to a London Majors baseball
game, where the team will be rec-
ognized at the game they attend.
The tournament this year saw
16 teams signed up in three dif-
ferent age divisions.
Each team played a round
robin tournament with a playoff
game at the end.

division was awarded a prize,
and each player received a
3 -on -3 ball hockey cinch bag
that included other gifts.
A family friendly event, in addi-
tion to the ball hockey, there was
also a hockey shots game, where
the kids could play to win stuffed
toys and a raffle table with fun
items for children.
A silent auction was added. in
this year and those in attend-
ance could bid on the following
items: 2016-2017 Toronto Maple
Leafs autographed stick; 2016-
2017 London Knights autho-
graphed jersey; Ryan O'Reilly
autographed Buffalo Sabres hat;
Toronto Blue Jays tickets; an
Android box and several others.
Those in attendance and par-
ticipants in the ball hockey tour-
nament were able to refuel and
rehydrate, as the canteen was
open for drink and snacks, Tim
Horton's coffee, hot chocolate
and timbits were also available.
The Wicked Witches of West
Street food truck was also at the
event.
"So much of this event is pos-
sible because of the great sup-
port of local businesses who
sponsor or donate to the event,"
explained Foundation Coordi-
nator Shannon LaHay.
The top fundraising team was
the Floor Lords with a team total
of $837. The top fundraiser was
Brock Bazinet with $300. Final
fundraising totals will not be
confirmed until early next week,
but the tournament was a huge
success. The Toronto Maple
Leafs autographed stick went for
$325 to Kevin Talbot.
