The Livery's production of
Hitchcock's 'The 39 Steps'
debuted last week, with
opening night on May 4.
Directed by Nina Reynolds
and starring Cara Stephen-
son, Rob Ionescu, Jordan
Henry and Ron Plasschaert,
'The 39 Steps' delivered an
evening of espionage, mur-
der, suspense, romance and
most of all comedy.
The play, %vhich follows the
adventures of Richard I Ian -
nay and the diverse women
and men he crosses paths
with, is one that involves a lot
of tongue-in-cheek dialogue
and physical comedy.
From the believable por-
trayal of characters, to per-
fectly delivered lines, and
from captivating on-stage
energy and comedic timing,
'The 39 Steps' is a production
not to be missed.
Reactions of those in attend-
ance on opening night were of
the same mind in that 'The 39
Steps' was a very entertaining
and hilarious performance.
Last week 'The 39 Steps'
had performances at The
Livery on May 4, 5, 6, and 7.
There are only offer four
more performances.

In order to translate an adventure -filled plot to the stage, the use of props, sound effects and
comedic timing brought the plot to life.
Only performed by four actors, some scenes involved several characters performed by one actor at
the same time, which added comedy to an already hilarious plot.
