Christine Laing Highland Dance Recital
The dancers from the
Christine Laing Dance
School held a Highland
Dance Recital last week.
Christine has been teach-
ing in Goderich for the past
five years, hosting classes at
the Memorial Arena, and
this was the third recital.
Also teaching out of
Arkona and Vanneck, the
dancers range in age from 5
- 11, and Christine does
accept children from the age
of three.
The students at the Chris-
tine Laing Dance School
take part in yearly exams and
competitions throughout
Ontario.
Christina emigrated from
Paisley, Scotland in 1982 and
Norah Stephens from Petrolia is a Highland
Dance student at the Christine Laing Dance
School and took part in the recent recital.
has been .teaching since
1976. She is a Life Member of
the British Association
Teachers of Dancing (High-
land and Ballet), a Scot -
Dance Canada Member, and
is on the judge's panel of the
Scottish Official Board of
Highland Dancing.
