Home My WebLink AboutGoderich Signal Star, 2017-05-03, Page 17Goderich Home and Cottage Show In the 7th Annual Goder- ich Home and Cottage Show on May 5-7, the Charitable Fund's committee hosts their annual fundraiser for the All Points Charitable Fund at the Memorial Arena. The All Points Charitable Fund is Coldwell Banker's own charity in Huron and Perth counties. All proceeds from the Show will go back into the community supporting fam- ilies facing terminal or life threatening illness or injury of a parent or child. This year, the annual BBQ will run all weekend, and all proceeds will go directly to sup- port the current campaign, which is the `Super Bathroom Reno' for the McDonald family of Goderich. To accommodate the McDonald family's growing needs, with two sons who struggle with the effects of Cerebral Palsy, the Home and Cottage Show Committee had assembled a team of contrac- tors and supplies to help reno- vate their bathroom and make it wheelchair accessible. The Home and Cottage Show admission is free by donation with the change to win a door price with every S5 donation given. Those in attendance can expect approximately 40 ven- dors, new and returning, and it is expected that more than 1, 000 people will attend throughout the weekend. - "This is a fundraiser all the way around, not a money maker for Coldwell Banket Our Charitable Fund raised close to S100, 000 to date," states on of the Charitable Fund's Board of Directors, Erin Wilson. Show times are 4pm and 6:30pm. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the hospital foundation's neonatal and obsterics pro- gram to benefit women and families in the local area. Ultimutts is a talent - packed performance that is fun for the whole family. The highly- trained dogs demon- strate amazing tricks, includ- ing tight -rope walking, skip- ping, walking handstands, skateboarding, scooters, piano playing, and basket- ball slam dunks. These 4 -legged celebrities have received world-wide attention, recently being fea- tured on Good Morning America, and "Doggy House Calls" on Rogers. Each show concludes with the opportu- nity for public to meet the lovable stars after the performance. All proceeds from the event (event fee donations) will benefit The Alexandra Marine and General Hospi- tal Foundation. A mini- mum entrance donation of $5 per person will be col- lected at the door (cash only please).
