The other two both use natural gas to reheat the air corning back into the rotating expander. Our technology has a way to do this, completely fuel free," explained Perctick "There are no air emissions, there is no natural gas or fossil fuel usage at all. This is a way to get more clean power onto the Ontario electrical grid without building more wind turbines or building more solar panels." According to Peretick, the reason NRStor exists as a company is to try to be good global citizens, and do what is good for the world and good for the environment. NRStor CEO Verschuren added, "Today, compressed air technology is driven by gas and we are doing it gas - free. I would be so honoured to work with the Town of Goderich to make this pro- ject happen." - According to NRStor repro; sentatives, this project chose Goderich not only because of the resource of underground salt caverns to store the pres- surized air in, but to bring new life to something that did not have any economic value anymore. "We are both new compa- nies [NRStor and Hydrostor) trying to get things established, trying to build these very clean energy projects. We want to do it in Ontario," explained Peretick "We believe in Ontario and we think this is a great springboard to be able to prove this technology and to be able to develop it, hopefully in the rest of South-western Ontario, hopefully in the rest of Canada and hopefully in the world:'. Currently NRStor is cur- rently going through all the necessary steps and processes GODERICH Canada's prettiest town TOWN OF GODERICH LAWN WATERING REGULATION COMMENCING MAY 15th BY-LAW # 38 OF 2001 The following lawn watering regulation will be in effect from May 15 to August 31: Those properties having municipal addresses which are even numbers in said months of May, June, July and August of any year shall be permitted to water on even numbered calendar days, but only during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. local time and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. NRStor is waiting on the results from studies for the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, as well as an Air and Noise assessment. These results will determine on whether or not the project will have a negative impact on the surrounding environment or not, and if the project will require particular permits. NRStor welcomes the pub- lic and members of the com- munity to reach out, inquire, comment or ask questions about the company and the project. To contact NRStor, visit the website at http:// www.nrstor.com. NRStor's energy storage project would be able to integrate more renewable energy back into the grid, but is more or less a demon- stration project and would like to build the cutting edge technology in Goderich. "It's a wonderful way to improve the efficiency, to improve the conservation of energy and really go forward with a very exciting project. We believe that fttel free com- pressed air technology can pro- vide numerous environmental benefits" said Verschun n. Members of Council did not want to make a sound decision concerning Goder- ich's economy and environ- ment without taking the time to consider all the information presented, and have asked NRStor to provide more infor- mation on the environmental approvals process. The result of the Town Council meeting last week, members of Council decided to table the site -plan approval until the next Council meeting on Monday, May 8 at 4:30pm.
