The agents donated a percentage of their com- mission to the Royal LeP- age Shelter Foundation, a Canada wide charity. Approximately 15 agents within Huron County donate a percentage of their commission on a vol- untary basis. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation provides a cheque of the same amount for the Huron County Royal LePage branches to donate locally. Royal LePage has donated to shelters for many years. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is a national charity that started in 1998 and supports the work of shelters all across Canada through fundraising activi- ties and donations. This is the third year the Huron County Royal LePage has donated to local Huron Women's Shelter. "The commitment of Royal LePage Realtors to improving the lives of women and children in Huron County through contributions to our organ- ization is tremendous," said Donna Jean, the Executive Director of the Huron Women's Shelter. "Their support of our work helps us to continue to move towards ending violence against women in our community:' The Huron Women's Shel- ter provides a safe environment to heal, for over 500 women and their chil- dren who are experiencing varied types of abuse. The worsen, whore stay at the shelter, are empowered as they make changes in their lives through counselling and support. "Royal LePage has been donating to shelters for many years," explained Jean. Last week in a cheque presentation, local agents who donated a percentage of their commission, joined Fred Lobb (Broker and Owner), at the Goderich branch. A cheque of $5, 020 was presented to Donna Jean and the Huron Wom- en's Shelter. OPP drug warrant executed in Goderich (GODERICH, ON)- On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, the Ontario Provin- cial Police (OPP) Commu- nity Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Huron OPP executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants at two residences located on Hamilton Street in the Town of Goderich, Huron County, Ontario. As a result of the execu- tion of the first search war- rant, police seized cannabis marihuana, clonazepam and oxycodone. The com- bined street value of the seized controlled sub- stances is estimated at $3,900. Police also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon (firearm). A man of 22 years of age from Goderich and a female of 19 years of age from Goderich have been charged with: Possession for the Purposes of Traffick- ing Marihuana and Clonaz- epam, Possession of Oxyco- done, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Prohib- ited Weapon. Both have been released from custody with court appearances scheduled for May 15, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice Goderich. Police executed the sec- ond search warrant and seized cocaine, oxycodone and hydromorphone. The combined street value of the seized controlled sub- stances is estimated at $550. Police also seized traf- ficking paraphernalia and recovered two stolen drills, a battery charger and carry- ing case. A man of 28 years of age from Goderich and a woman of 25 years of age from Goderich have been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Oxycodone and Hydromorphone and Pos- session of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. Both were released from custody with court appear- ances scheduled for June 5, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
