The Huron Arts and Heritage
Network celebrated in Bayfield

The Huron Arts and Herit-
age Network (HAHN) cele-
brated the Huron Cultural
Awards last week in
Bayfield.
The Awards event recog-
nized organizations, individ-
uals and businesses in the
arts, culture and heritage
sector of Huron County.
The non-profit community
organization HAHN pro-
vides support and services
for its members in the arts,
culture and heritage com-
munity of Huron County.
The HAHN always has
seven goals in mind for the
community, and some of
which are: to encourage the
development and vitality of
the cultural sector in Huron
County; to advocate and
work with all levels of gov-
ernment on behalf of the
arts, culture and heritage
sector of Huron County; to
increase participation of res-
idents in the arts, culture
and heritage programming
and events held in Huron
County; to promote Huron
County as a cultural destina-
tion and producer of quality
cultural products and
experiences.
The HAHN will host
upcoming Huron County
events for the month of June.
The Alice Munro Festival
of the Short Story will take
place from June 1-4 in Blyth,
Wingham and Goderich,
and the Huron Multicultural
Festival on June 25. in
Goderich.
The Awards gala not only
provided recognition to this
year's recipients, but also
saw performances by local
groups and offered food
from local restaurants for
those in attendance.
