Goderich Signal Star, 2017-04-26, Page 3434 Signal Star • Wednesday, April 26. 2017 Stellar second half of the season for Novice McGee Rep Sailors The Novice McGee Rep Sailors had a lot to cele- brate as their season came to a close. The team earned the WOAA Cham- pion title in the Novice Rep McClure Division, when they beat Walkerton in game four of a best of five series. The game winning score was 4-1 and was played on April 1 at the YMCA in Goderich. In round one, the McGee Rep Sailors played a tough series against Blyth -Brussels, and won in game five. The second round saw the McGee Rep Sailors face-off against Saugeen Shores. This series saw four games go into over -time, but despite how close the games were, the Rep Sailors won in game four. The final round of playoffs, the McGee Rep Sailors played against Walkerton for the Championship, and won the best of five series in game four.
