In the Knights of Colum- bus Hall, the event which has been an annual tradition in Goderich for approxi- mately 10 years, was a sold out event. The Taste of Goderich offered food from local busi- nesses such as Samuel's Hotel, Boston Pizza, Tim Hortons, West Street Willy's, Benmiller Inn and Spa, Beach Street Station and Park House. The 325 guests were also privileged to enjoy an even- ing of live entertainment, a sense of community and a silent auction, where all money raised is to go back into the community. Some of the prizes from the auction included: a one year family membership to the YMCA; 18 holes of golf at the Hunt Club in London for three people; four tickets to see the Toronto Blue Jay's play against Texas Rangers in May; two luxury private suite tickets to Dean Brody's 2017 tour; and an option to take home the printed and auto- graphed print of "Next Goal Wins; featuring signatures from Dave Keon, Larry Jef- fery and Gary Doak. Chairman of the Taste of Goderich Committee, Bob Robson explained the importance and signifi- cance of the event. "It is a major fundraiser for our Lion's Club. We get a lot of community support. It is gratifying to have a sell out event, and we appreciate the support we get from the people in Goderich," said Robson. goderichsignalstar.com
