Every four years, Scouts
Canada hosts the Canadian
Scout Jamboree in a different
city. This year the Canadian
Scout Jamboree 2017 will be
hosted by Camp Nedooae in
Eldebank, Nova Sotia.
The Jamboree will run
from July 8-15 and invites
thousands of Scout -aged
youth from across Canada
and the world for "the most
epic Scouting experience."
Goderich Boy Scout
Leader Mike Bissett, who has
been a Scout Leader for
close to 20 years, reached
out to local community
service groups for possible
donations to help fund the
trip to Nova Scotia in July.
"It's a great experience or
the kids. They get to meet
lots of new people from
across Canada and around
the world," said Bissett.
A total of 18 will be mak-
ing the trip to the Scout Jam-
boree in Nova Scotia, includ-
ing nine Scouts from
Goderich and four from
Mitchell, as well as Scout
Leaders.
Funding for this excursion
comes from any fundraising

done, as well as any money

things. It is a long running
organization that does great
things with young individu-

all about - the experiences,"
said Local representative
Gary Lynch.
Unifor Local 16-0, has
donated S1 300.to the
Goderich Scouts, bringing
them to near halfway to the

"If we can get the kids to
