DAVIES, Colleen (Spain) -
Passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017 in her 81st year
surrounded by her family. Loving mother to Patricia (Peter) Keegan,
Michael (Sharon) Davies, Kevin Davies, Terry Davies, Todd
Davies, Robert Davies and Debbie Wilson. Proud grandmother to
Joey, Tiffany, Curtis, Cory, Melanie and Dana. She was also a
cherished great grandmother. Predeceased by her parents, John
and Violet Spain. She will be fondly remembered by many siblings,
nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their
heartfelt thanks to the staff at Seaforth Manor for all their care and
compassion of Mom over the course of the year. Also to the
Goderich branch Alcoholics Anonymous for 36 years of guidance
and support. A visitation was held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the
McCALLUM AND PALLA FUNERAL HOME (11 Cambria Road
North, Goderich) from 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral mass was held on
Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church
(156 North Street, Goderich) at 11 a.m. Father Gary Ducharme -
cetebrant. Interment St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations made to Seaforth Manor would be

December 15,1936 to March 28; 2017
Passed away peacefully, into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday,March
28th, 2017 in his 80th year at the Extendicare Nursing Home, Port
Hope, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of 55 years to sur-
viving wife Ethel (nee Chaput). Devoted father to Sharon (Michael),
Tim (Susan), Sandra (Rod) and Chantelle. Proud grandfather of
Trevor, Jamie, Josh, Jesse, Kaleigh and Brynn (predeceased by
grandchildren Nolan and David). Dear brother of Helen, Joyce,.
Shirley, Darl and Roger. Predeceased by sisters Marilyn, Jackie
and Lorna and brother Dean and parents Celeste and Analda Gau-
dette. Lester was a 31 year retiree from Ontario Hydro where he
worked as an Ironworker. Funeral arrangements took place in
Lester's hometown of Chapeau, Quebec, with a "Celebration of
Life" to follow on April 23, 2017 in Cobourg, Ontario at the Cobourg
Legion from 1 to 3 p.m. Visitation for family and friends took place
at the Hayes Funeral Home, 56 rue St: Jacques, Chapeau, Quebec
on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian
Burial took place on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in St. Joseph's Church,
St. Joseph, Quebec at 11 a.m. followed by a gathering at St.
Joseph's Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart &
Stroke Foundation.

AUSTIN, Catherine (nee O'Neil) -
passed away on March 25, 2017 in her 100th year. Survived by son
Kenneth Fitzpatrick, daughter-in-law Kathleen Fitzpatrick, grandson
Joseph M. Fitzpatrick, step -granddaughter Shawna-Raye (Keith)
Endersen, step -great-grandsons; Liam, Kieran Endresen, Garret
Dykeman and great-granddaughter Hannah Dykeman.
Predeceased by Joseph G. Fitzpatrick, Cyril Austin, daughter-in-law
Nancy G. Fitzpatrick, step -granddaughter Julie MacDonald and
siblings; Michael, Dorothy, Thomas, John, James and Mary. The
family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Father Gary
Ducharme, Dr. Dawson and staff at Maitland Manor for all their
loving care of Catherine. A visitation was held on Friday, March 31,
2017 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the
time of service at 11 a.m. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery,
Kingsbridge Memorial donations made to the St. Joseph's

CRAWFORD, "Irene" Janice nee Hulley -
Passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital
on Friday, March 24, 2017 in her 81st year. Beloved partner of
Roger Kenyon. Predeceased by her parents Clarinda Bell and
Harvey Hulley, spouse Ross Crawford, brother Leonard Hulley,
infant daughter Lorie Dalton and grandson Zac Lamb. Mother of
Beverly (Paul) Lamb of Goderich, Dennis (Darlene) Dalton of
Goderich, Michael (Sally) Dalton of Alberta and Newton (Susan)
Dalton of Manitoba. Irene will be loved and missed by extended
family of the Crawfords, Kenyons, Williams and by many
grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Cremation has
taken place, at her request no service will take place. In lieu of

DELEARY PENNY
1939 - 2017
Passed away suddenly Friday, February 17, 2017 beloved wife
of Ron Deleary. Mother of Robert Joyes and William Joyes (Susan)
grandmother of Megan, Stephen, Mathew and Corey Joyes, sister
of James Pettit (Donna) and Aunt of David and Jerry Pettit. Family
and friends are welcome to her celebration of life at the Royal
Canadian Legion, Kingston St., Goderich, ON on Saturday, April 8,
2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the
Huron OSPCA.
DOAK, Gary Walter -
February 25, 1946 - March 25, 2017
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family after a
courageous battle with cancer. Gary was a National Hockey
League defenseman who played for the Boston Bruins, Detroit Red
Wings, Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers. Best known
for his 14 seasons with the Bruins, over 789 NHL regular season
games the stay at home defenseman amassed a plus 140
plus/minus rating. He was also a member of the 1970 Boston
Bruins' Stanley Cup championship team. Following his playing
career, Gary was the Boston Bruins' assistant coach from 1981 -
1985. He also served as the head coach at the University of
Massachusetts Boston for two years. Following his hockey career,
Gary owned the Epicurean restaurant in Exeter, N.H, and then went
on to lead the recreation department of the Massachusetts
Department of Conservation and Recreation. He was also well
known for his charitable efforts, which included his coordination of,
and participation in, youth hockey clinics, his participation in the
Dana-Farber Pan Mass Challenge for cancer research, and his
wide-ranging efforts associated with the Boston Bruins Alumni. In
recent years, Gary split his time between his homes in Lynnfield,
MA and Boca Raton, F.L. During this time, in addition to spending
time with friends and family, he enjoyed many rounds of golf and
walks on the beach with his faithful dog, Buddy. Gary was the
beloved husband of Judith (Shore) Doak. Loving father of Jennifer
Doak-Deraps & her husband Michael, and Ryan G. Doak & his wife
Elizabeth of Tuscon AZ. Proud grandfather of Benjamin, Lucas,
Elijah, Nathan & Sam. Caring brother of Sue Hanson & her late
husband Bob and Steve Doak & his late wife Fran all of Canada.
Also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at the GATELY FUNERAL HOME, 79 W.
Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 3:00 -
8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of
Assumption Church, 758 Salem St. Lynnfield on Thursday at 10:00
AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment
will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be
made in Gary's name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite
B-102 Danvers, MA 01923 or to St. Jude Children's Research
