redone. It will be a very different
looking building when it is fin-
ished, although the North
I iuron director of recreation and
facilities, Pat Newson pointed,
out that "the character of the
building will be kept."
"We've thought about every
single problem this building had
and addressed it and moved it to
the next level," said Newson.
Newson said every old build-
ing reaches the end of its life
cycle every 410 or 50 years, and at
that point, the options are to tear
it down, or gut and restore it.
"This is obviously not some-
thing we would never want to
tear down, so we've been able to
restore it, and the community
has been able to restore it."
